Gear Swap!
- Location: Aeolian Yacht Club in Alameda
- Time: 6-9 pm

- Drink: We are NOT allowed bring our own alcohol. The Aeolian will have a bar with beer and wine at reasonable prices.
We'll start with a BASK potluck on the deck. Pizza and dessert will not be provided at this meeting; bring whatever dish you'd like to share! After dinner, we'll move to the main ground-floor space for the gear swap. This is a great time to clean out your garage and acquire new-to-you gear at great prices. Rumor has it that a wetsuit worn by the Mayor of Mendocino will be available at a very attractive price. What makes this wetsuit so special? Come and find out!
While the Gear Swap is kayak-themed, there is no restriction on what you can bring to sell provided its sale doesn't violate the law—no automatic weapons or narcotics please. Otherwise, tools, bicycles, tents, fleece jackets, used cars, one or more nights at an italian B&B, and photos of Penny table dancing at Husongs are all fair-trade items at the gear swap. For insurance reasons we can't use the dock at the yacht club, but the are several launch sites nearby where you can arrange a test paddle of a kayak for sale.
Take a look at the spreadsheet that lists items that will be available at the swap; add your own items to it if you like.
Even if you don't have anything to sell or need any more gear, come enjoy all the best parts of the BASK General Meeting: eating and socializing with BASK friends without fear of interruption by that Pesky President!
Note: WE WILL NOT MEET AT THE POTRERO HILL NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE IN JUNE. The June meeting will not be live streamed.
